The Fab requires careful control of heating, cooling and humidity to facilitate its? microphotographic processing. It also requires water so pure that the pipes in which it flows can themselves compromise its quality. For these reasons, equipment to supply such services is grouped together in a Central Utility Plant immediately behind the Fab.
